Fun Fact: The ‘Sweat Room’ in the Academy Building is one of the most cherished spots at Leiden University. In the 18th century, students expecting their exam results used this room as a waiting room.

Today, it is a tradition for students to sign and immortalise their names in the sweat room after they receive their diploma.
